Low carb diets seem to focus on the quantity of carbs you eat and have a strict induction phase. Low glycemic index diets focus on the quality of the carbs you eat and go for more of a low fat and healthy approach. Some diets like the South Beach Diet seem to mix a combination of both.
So, which one is best?
Well, I think that depends on your own preferences and how you like to eat. Some folks do very well on a low carb diet eating green leafy veggies and lots of meats. Others, like myself, don’t care too much for meat and struggle. (more…)
