Good Posture Can Take Off Pounds

Likely she heard that from her own mother growing up and is trying to pass along smart information to you about good posture. Many women have horrible posture these days. Bad posture can be the result of several things.

Those with bad body posture may be slouching because they have low self esteem or because they are physically unable to stand or sit up strait without extra effort. There are many reasons someone may not have good posture but the number one reason is likely because they don’t realize how important good posture is for you.

Good posture can literally make you look ten pounds lighter, which is enough to make most women want to work on standing and sitting taller. In fact, you can slim your stomach line without even having to diet, as long as you practice good posture. The great thing is that the act of practicing good posture will strengthen your abs and your back so it will silently be helping your tone as well.

In addition, those women who are worried about sagging chests can stand taller with good posture. As you age, of course your body will start sagging, including your chest area. Using good posture allows you to look less saggy in those areas however.

So, be sure you always practice good posture. After all, the sooner you learn to stand and sit strait, the less likely you are to end up hunchbacked when you are an old woman. Constantly be aware of how you are sitting and standing and you will be able to go into it naturally after a while. In the meantime you will be able to enjoy a slimmer looking body and protect yourself from being an old hunched over lady in the future.
