Low Carb Candy and Low Carb Chocolates Food Review

I’ve taste tested all of these myself and conned my friends and family into tasting some of them too! Real food taste tests by real people.

Most of this candy tastes just as good as high sugar candy! Be aware that most low carb candy contains maltitol , a sugar alcohol, which may have a laxative effect if too much is eaten. I have found that I have no problems when I limit myself to 1 serving a day.

I have taste tested all the low carb chocolates and candies listed below and rated them on a scale from 1 to 5 (using the candy bar icon) with 1 being the worst tasting and 5 being the best.

low carb candy low carb chocolates Atkins Endulge Caramel Nut Chew - Just delicious as are all the Atkins Endulge Candy Bars. Tastes just like a “high carb” candy bar. Of course, it does have maltitol so watch the portions. Has 17g carbs, 6g protein, 140 calories and 9g fat.

Atkins Endulge Mint Wafer Crisp - Also delicious with 12g net carbs, 4g protein, 120 calories and 9g fat.

Atkins Endulge Peanut Butter Cups - Again, delicious! Has 17g carbs, 3g protein, 160 calories and 13g fat.

Judy’s Sugar Free Peanut Brittle - The best peanut brittle I have ever had! This has fooled non low-carbers it is so good. It has less than 1g carb per 1 oz serving, 2g protein, 90 calories, and 5g fat. It is made with maltitol so you do need to be careful with the portions, however it is so sweet just a little mouthful is sure to satisfy any sugar cravings.

Judy’s Sugar Free Coconut Almond Brittle - Even Better than the peanut brittle! Chunks of coconut and almonds in a sweet crunchy glob, yummy! This is my favorite low carb candy snack when I need just a bite of sugary sweetness. Serving size is 1/4 piece (it comes in a round piece about 7" across, so a 1/4 piece serving is good sized) and has 1g carbs, 1g protein, 90 calories and 5g fat. Again, this does have maltitol so watch the portions.

Hersheys Sugar Free Chocolate Candy - I love these little candies that come in a bag of bite sized individually wrapped candies! Just perfect if you want just a little bite. And since there's only 2 g net carbs in 5 pieces you can sneak one here and there with little ill effects. the do taste pretty good, but are not quite as creamy as the regular chocolate - I don't quite understand this since they have just as much fat.....

Ross Coconut low Carb Chocolates Bar- This bar was good with no aftertaste, but I was disappointed with the “coconut” taste as I was expecting it to be like a mounds bar. It was more like a chocolate bar with a mild hint of coconut flavor. Has 2.4g net carbs, 2.4g protein, 170 calories and 12.9g fat.
