You've been invited to a dinner party.......
....and instead of wondering what you are going to wear you wonder what you are going to eat!
Don't despair, you can still stick to your low carb plan and enjoy the party too. Here's some tips on how to survive:
Bring a Dish If the party is such so that you can contribute, ask your host or hostess if you can bring a dish to share. Bring your favorite low carb entree and you possibly a dessert and you will be all set! Why not try one of these

Request ahead of time Call your host or hostess and inqure about the menu. Let him or her know that your doctor has you on a restricted menu and make suggestions as to what they can serve that will meet your needs. |
Don't show up hungry Make sure you have plenty of healthy low carb foods before you arrive. That way if the choices are limited, you can just pick at the foods that are on your eating plan and not be hungry.
Sneak some snacks Bring along some low carb snacks in case you feel the need to munch. How about some cheese, or celery or cucumber slices. Or maybe a low carb bar that you can hide in your purse or pocket.
