Low Carb Pizza Ideas

South Beach Diet

Your family can enjoy low carb pizza and regular pizza all at once!
The next time you family or friends wants to order out for pizza don’t be afraid to put your order in as you can easily enjoy this great food along with them. The sauce, cheese and toppings (for the most part) are all foods that can be included in a low carbohydrate diet. You’ll have to be careful that no high carb foods like pineapple are included but you can enjoy the same pizza by simply scraping off the toppings and loading them into a low carb wrap!

Of course, if you want that puffy bread taste underneath your pizza you can make your own low carb pizza crust from a mix such as this mix:

Keto Pizza Dough Mix - 3.4 oz

Then add your own toppings for a home made treat. If you have people in your family that refuse to eat low carb, then you can make 2 pizza crusts - one low carb and one regular. If you want to eat low fat, sprinkle on less cheese and make it part skim or low fat cheese.

Pizza can be healthy for you if you prepare it the right way. The lycopene in the cooked tomatoes that make up the sauce are thought to help protect against some kinds of cancers and olive oil has many properties that are good for you. If you skip the fatty meats and add lots of veggies and low fat cheese, it can actually be a very healthy meal! If you are making a low carb pizza by scraping your pizza toppings into a wrap, you can toss out half the cheese and lower the fat content that way.
